Star Wars Battlefront Game Trailer

Electronic Arts and Lucasfilm have released a new trailer for the long awaited game, Star Wars Battlefront.

Star Wars Battlefront is developed by DICE, creators of the Battlefield series. The game allows fans to participate in epic Star Wars battles on iconic planets from the Star Wars franchise and allows players to rise through the ranks playing on the side of the Rebellion or the galactic Empire.

The ominous thud of an AT-AT stomping down. Rebel forces firing blasters. Imperial speeder bikes zipping by. Intense dogfights between squadrons of X-wings and TIE fighters filling the skies. Immerse yourself in the epic Star WarsTM battles you’ve always dreamed of and create new heroic moments of your own in Star Wars™ Battlefront™

The last release of the Battlefront franchise (Star Wars Battlefront 2) hit the shelves back in 2005, its been a long time for fans to wait for the next instalment and while the developers are calling this a ‘reboot’ rather than a sequel, the expectation is high and the pressure is on. DICE’s success with the Battlefield series is a huge foundation to build on and judging from the action in the trailer it looks like they have used their experience and pulled a lot that made the original series great into the new game so I am looking forward to playing it.

The game will be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 17 with pre-ordering available. Pre-orders will receive early access to bonus content titled ‘The Battle of Jakku’ which ties in to the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie which will be hitting cinemas in December 2015.
